I am so incredibly excited and honored that my poem, Genesis has been published by Syntax and Salt in their very first poetry issue. Last year, I created a list of goals that I hoped to achieve before I graduated from high school. At the very top of that list was to get a poem published. I could not believe it when I opened my email and read that this poem (one that took months of drafting and editing) was going to be published.
